Published twice a year, the Heywood Society Journal is unique in its in-depth coverage of all passenger carrying miniature railways, from 7¼in gauge to 15in gauges.
Currently edited by David Nicholson, each issue maintains a balance between history, news, and practical articles. Recent issues are all of 56 pages, some older issues have 48 or 40 pages or less.
With effect from Autumn 1990 the Journal has been offered for sale by mail order subscription to anyone interested in the world of miniature railways. Please visit our back number page for a list of contents in each issue.
Journal Prices and Ordering – UK
For payments by cheque or direct bank transfer, the U.K. price is £6.00 per issue, including postage. Forward subscriptions cost £12.00 (for 2 issues, published in May and October, in the same calendar year)

Rest of Europe: £6.50 per issue
Zone 1 airmail (USA and most other countries): £7.25 per issue
Zone 2 airmail (Australia etc.): £7.50 per issue
We may manage a small postage discount on packages of back issues mailed overseas. If in doubt email with your requirements
Attractive ‘Cordex’ binders to hold 12 issues are available, in red with gold block lettering at £6 each. This includes UK postage, overseas postage on binders is extra at cost.
